Jamey D

Jamey D's Bio

Jamey D was brought up on Southern Gospel music as the church pianist and a vocalist in his Reverend father’s Baptist church, and from a young age, cultivated a love for music ranging from classical, jazz and big band music, country gold, Southern rock, and classic singer-songwriters like Jackson Browne, James Taylor, and Bob Dylan. While bartending and writing in Nashville, as well as serving as merchandise manager and emcee on multiple national tours, Jamey D took the opportunities presented to him to absorb the spirit of Music City, as well as study the writing and performing styles of iconic country music artists like Alabama, Charlie Daniels, Gary Allan, Tracy Lawrence, Shenandoah, and others, and has combined those experiences and lessons to craft a uniquely individual, yet relatable, songwriting and performing style.
